Rebellion, an Aspect of Growing Up

Stage one;
A young adolescent individual
feeling the urge to run,
run away from all the rules.

Stage two;
Teenage rebellion is what they call it.
He began to change into a stranger, become an issue.
But he would slowly come back, bit by bit.

Stage three;
As he came back, he understood.
He'd matured and become less carefree,
now a man doing better good.

    I really love how you presented your thoughts with advanced word choices. You really thought of the rhyming pattern which makes it nice to read.
    I also liked how your poem creates a little story behind it, but can make it reflect on my story too.

    Wow. This is the deep side of your blog tiara, but one thing that I really liked about your poem is that you included those stages. And to me the poem is sort of like the timeline of a man's maturity. Good work

    This poem resonates towards me and definitely others as how teenage rebellion is one of the stages of life, also I really like the way you interpreted teenage rebellion into this poem.

“Do you need food? Water? You look thinner nowadays,” Paul quickly asked the dark-haired girl, stepping closer to where she was standing. The girl smiled. Irene Sobczynska. That was her name. "How could I put my children into the care of one who hates them?" "Bloodchild" is a short story written by Octavia E. Butler. The short story is set in what seems to be another planet - inhabited by Terrans (humans), Tlics and several other animals. While following the story's main character, Gan, we are introduced to this mysterious creature called T'Gatoi. She is described to have multiple limbs, a long spine, ribs, a skull, three meters tall and has a velvet underside. As we dig deeper into the story, we are told that she, among many others, is a Tlic. Tlics are gigantic worm-like creatures that live alongside the Terrans (humans); using them as their host animals for their young. When Tlics are ready to lay their eggs, they look for a host animal with enough fat to take care of their babies and Terrans who have Tlic eggs implanted inside them are called N'Tlics.
